Single Herb Tinctures/Extracts are made from a single herb or root with grain alcohol. Maca extract is processed from the dried root of the Lepidium meyeniiplants. These plants are grown for us at a high altitude in Peru. The herb is extracted in small batches with cane alcohol to maintain the balance of phytochemicals the way they are in the plant.
